KEEN St. Louis is an affiliate of a national non-profit organization providing one-to-one recreational opportunities for children with developmental and physical disabilities at no cost to their families and caregivers. KEEN's mission is to foster the self-esteem, confidence, skills and talents of the very special Kids in its program through non-competitive activities, allowing young people facing even the most significant challenges to meet their individual goals. MANY WAYS TO HELP KEEN ST. LOUIS AND HAVE FUN THIS FALL
SAINT CHARLES OKTOBERFEST: KEEN will benefit from the Mercy Children's Kids Zone at the Saint Charles Oktoberfest, Sept. 26-28 at Frontier Park on St. Charles Riverfront. For a $5 donation to KEEN each child will receive a pumpkin to paint, use of inflatables, entertainment, face painting and MUCH MUCH more.
KEEN TO BENEFIT FROM ROCKTOBERFEST 2014: The J2 Brewing ROCKtoberfest, a daylong celebration (21+ only) featuring live rock music, good food—and of course— great beer, is set for Sat. Oct. 25. The @headlines with The Matt Rowland Band and Band of Misfits kicking off a high-energy take on the traditional Oktoberfest. MOUSE RACES RAISE IN EXCESS OF $15,000 FOR KEEN KIDS -- The 3rd Annual "Night at the (mouse) Races," held Sat., Aug.16 at SLUH, was another HUGE raising in excess of $15,000 for KEEN St. Louis. The event was presented and hosted by KEEN friends, Robert Heideman and Scott Shafman and produced by Jason Jacobs and Lindsay Timms.
This is the thrrd year that Heiderman, senior mortgage advisor for the Heideman Group, and Shafman, mortage banker with the Shafman group, have come together to raise funds for KEEN St. Louis. In the three years, the group has raised in excess of $38,000 to help sustain and grow KEEN St. Louis' mission and get even more very specilal kids "off the sidelines and into the game." Thank you to all of the event sponsors, donors, guests and the staff at SLUH for making the event a tremendous success.
