Junior Leadership Board

The Mission of KEEN St. Louis is to empower youth with disabilities by providing free, non-competitive one-to-one programs of exercise, fitness, and fun, led by volunteer coaches.

The Vision of KEEN St. Louis is to foster the confidence and self-esteem of our athletes; strengthen our community through both the promotion of inclusion of youth with disabilities and through education of our volunteers, and provide families with respite and a supportive network.

The Mission of the KEEN St. Louis Junior Board (JLB) is to support the overall mission and activities of KEEN St. Louis by acting as campus ambassadors and volunteer leaders during KEEN sessions.

The JLB is an opportunity for members to:

  • Build friendships and network across area high schools
  • Participate in important community service - all while developing leadership, organization, project and time management skills
  • Learn from influential professionals in the St. Louis community
  • Participate in the KEEN Coaches Committee and assist KEEN staff with facilitating Sunday programs for KEEN athletes (responsibilities vary) gaining high quality and meaningful volunteer experience
  • Help develop, implement and lead our annual Holiday Bowl Event (December TBD) that will raise money for KEEN programs as well as provide a fun day for our you, your friends, and our athletes
  • Boost your “resume” through participation in an invitation-only Junior Board for a National Non-Profit

All volunteer, meeting and holiday bowl hours will be accepted by KEEN St. Louis as Service Hours.
