Kristen Peters Kremer 

Volunteer and Program Manager

Kristen Peters Kremer began her work with KEEN St. Louis as a volunteer in Spring, 2008.  Kristen took over as KEEN's Program Coordinator in May, 2009.  Her invaluable role consists of volunteer recruitment, outreach and awareness intiatives, scheduling programs, and organizing volunteers and participants for KEEN Sports, KEEN Swim, and KEEN Sings. In addition to KEEN, Kristen has worked with and volunteered for a variety of non-profit organizations throughout St. Louis, including Family Resource Center, St. Louis Arc, LifeBridge Partnership, and CASA.  A St. Louis native, Kristen has both her masters and bachelors degrees from Saint Louis University and is currently pursuing her doctoral degree from SLU's School of Social Work.

Julie Scott Soffner

Executive Director

Julie Soffner joined the Board of Directors for KEEN St. Louis in August, 2013.  She transitioned off the Board of Directors in 2015 to take over as KEEN's Executive Director. Julie oversees all operational aspects of the organization including programs, volunteer engagement, financial strength, community awareness and brand management.  Julie's background in corporate and non-profit management, with specializations in organizational development and engagement strategies, will help KEEN St. Louis grow and prosper into the next years of service to St. Louis children. Her career includes leadership roles at Enterprise Holdings, Inc., Make-A-Wish Foundation, and she retains her position as founder|principal at LMC Consulting.

Julie is a native of St. Louis and is a passionate philanthropist beyond her dedication to KEEN.  She volunteered as a wish granter for Make-A-Wish Missouri, remains committed to Mathews-Dickey Boys' and Girls' Club causes, donates her time and talent to the Catholic Employment Network, and is currently wrapping up an emotional and life-changing schoolyear of love and learning spent in Ferguson's Central Elementary first grade classroom.
