Close to 150 supporters gathered at F15teen on Friday, May 1st, 2009 for the inaugural St. Louis KEENfest: An evening to benefit our amazing athletes. Those attending enjoyed an evening of food, friends, and fundraising to benefit KEEN’s unique one-to-one sports coaching programs – programs that are offered free of charge to KEEN athletes and their families.
The silent and live auctions featured a wide array of terrific items, including sports memorabilia signed by Albert Pujols, Al MacInnis, Tony LaRussa, Brett and Bobby Hull, Rick Ankiel, and Colby Rasmus; wine baskets; unique experiences such as a gourmet wine dinner at a historic St. Louis home; vacation homes on Lake Michigan and Destin; sporting and event tickets; plus beautiful jewelry, great restaurants, salon packages, and more.
"I am truly grateful for all those who attended and donated to the first annual KEENfest. Our event was a success, with over $45,000 raised for our athletes and programs. Because of the generous support of so many from our community, we will be able to continue to offer our programs free of charge and expand our services to other youth from the St. Louis area." Karen Davis, President, KEEN St. Louis Board of Directors
The evening ended with music by St. Louis jazz legend, Kim Massie and her band.
THANK YOU to everyone that made KEENfest 2009 a success, especially our 2009 KEENfest Sponsors:
